  • I return to Rzeszow year after year for the Pomost Program because it gives me such a rewarding sense of accomplishment to interact with the Polish students and adults.  We have developed such a strong relationship as we share our Polish and American cultures.  The city of Rzeszow welcomes us with open arms and loving hearts.  I have made many lasting friendships which I will always cherish.

  • My Time with Pomost was unforgettable and the cultural exchange is unmatched. I was able to help the students improve their conversation skills and pass along information about American culture, while learning about their culture! I am not a teacher so I was a little nervous going in but after a few days I realized that I had nothing to fear! It was an amazing experience and I hope that I am able to attend Pomost in the future.

  • I have participated in Pomost twice. I thoroughly enjoyed this year’s program. The day students weren’t always enthusiastic about “showing off their English” but they did participate. As with all discussions with teens, we occasionally got off topic, but we had fun. The evening students often had specific things they wanted to talk about or know about the US as they were interested in using American English to aid in their business matters with US companies.

  • July of 2023 was my first time participating in Pomost. I had eagerly signed up to be a teacher to follow in the footsteps of my grandmother, Veronica O'Donnell. Little did I know that in doing so, I would be embarking on one of the most special experiences of my life. Rzeszow quickly became my home away from home, the friends I met along the way became family. I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to attend Pomost, whether it be as a student or a teacher. Take the leap - you won't regret it!!!

  • I’ve been a member of Pomost since 2019. Due to Covid and the war in Ukraine I finally got to go to Rzeszow this summer. My expectations were met and exceeded. Working with our Polish students was an experience I will never forget. In serving them, I returned to Buffalo with so much more than I left with. God willing, I will return in 2024!
